Argentine Tango Level I (Beginner)

Course Description:

   
This course is an introduction to the Argentine
Tango. The focus of this course is on seven elements
that form the basic foundation of the Argentine Tango
that include the following:

       
 
1. Embrace (open and close)
   2. Walking to the music (basic eight movements)
   3. Cruzada (the cross)
   4. Forward and backward ochos
   5. Molinetes (grapevine)
   6. Boleos
   7. Parallel and crossed systems


  Students Performance Objectives:
 
 
Students must master the seven basic elements listed
above. Male students must be able to lead and female
students must be able to follow the lead for the basic
elements.


Prerequisites: none

Learning Materials: Shoes suitable for dancing-light
weight shoes with leather soles and low heels
