Title: Salsa Level II
Course
Description:
This course is a continuation of the Level I Course. The material
covered is more challenging. Salsa and Cha Cha are covered. As
in the Level I Course, the main focus is on Salsa with one class
session devoted to Cha Cha. Solo footwork is covered with some
ten (10) to twelve (12) “shines”. Partnering work includes
variations on one (1) and two (2) arm combination turning patterns.
Basic styling, coordination, body control, and fluidity while
executing turning patterns are stressed.

Performance Objectives:
Successful completion means students are able
to increase their
ability to dance fluid and under control while performing more
challenging work. Male students are able to lead and female
students are able to follow more challenging turning patterns.
